Safety Inspections

POLICY:
 
The Safety Committee, officer or their designee will be 
responsible for conducting safety inspection(s) on a periodic 
basis with the goal of identifying problems/hazardous 
situations.  This is done for the protection of visitors, 
patients, employees and professional staff members.
 
PROCEDURE:
 
1. The most recent and updated version of the Safety 
   Inspection Form, Fire - Safety Environmental Inspection 
   Form (available on the Forms Repository) and any other 
   document or vendor will be utilized to complete this 
   process at regularly scheduled intervals. 
 
 
2.  The Safety Committee or officer is responsible to review
    the results of the inspection and to supervise any 
    necessary corrective actions.
 
3.  The results of the inspections shall be part of the 
    Safety Committee Meeting and reported to the Medical 
    Director.
 
4.  Appropriate personnel will be notified of any 
    recommended repairs, changes or requirements for 
    compliance with safety standards and the fire safety 
    code.
