Call Back Policy


 
POLICY:
 
Patients undergoing significant procedures or patients 
meeting the criteria outlined in the Post-Operative Care 
policy in the Clinical Policy and Procedure Manual will have 
post-procedure contact with a member of our staff within 24 
to 72 hours. 
 
PROCEDURE:
 
Patients undergoing significant procedures will have 
post-procedure contact with a member of our staff within 
24-72 hours.  The contact may consist of a telephone call 
which is documented into the patient chart.  This process 
promotes the identification of any problems the patient may 
be having that would need further investigation, either by 
communicating with the physician or by returning to the 
office.
 
In the case of patients undergoing biopsies, the patient will 
be contacted as soon as the pathology results have been 
received and reviewed by the physician.
