Benchmarking Program
 

External Benchmarking is an important aspect of the Quality 
Assessment/Performance Improvement program. This activity 
allows our organization to systematically compare processes 
and systems, best practices, and standards compliance with 
other external organizations in order to identify areas that 
need improvement as well as methods to attain improvement. 
 
Internal benchmarking is also an important aspect of the 
Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement program. Internal 
benchmarking is a method of comparing particular functions, 
practices, and processes and systems that are conducted or 
measured internally within the organization. 

This organization will pursue avenues for Benchmarking 
such as comparing to other professional healthcare or medical 
organizations, published studies in specialty journals, peer 
review journals, and articles on topics relevant to the 
organization.
